The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church prayerfully commemorate Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America
On 27 December 2024, at the conclusion of a session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church at the Church of All Russian Saints at the Patriarchal Residence in Danilov Monastery, a commemorative litiya was performed in memory of Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The hierarch reposed in the Lord at the age of 77 on 8 November, the feast day of Great Martyr Dimitri of Thessaloniki.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and members of the Holy Synod prayed during the service.
